An Autumn Day
“An Autumn Day” is a piece for solo instrument and piano, lasting about 4 minutes and in three distinct sections which depict three different aspects of Autumn.
I am honoured that the piece was premiered at the London New Wind Festival on 1st October 2022. The performance was given by oboist Catherine Pluygers and pianist Dr Sasha Valeri Millwood. The event involved a series of recitals involving a range of musicians and composers and took place at ‘The Warehouse’ in Waterloo.
I’m also very pleased that the original version of the piece was recorded by saxophonist Nick Phillips, with a piano backing track previously recorded by pianist Oscar Espinoza. You can listen to this recording in the youtube clip below:
I have also written versions adapted to suite various featured other instruments. Please contact me if you would like to perform this.
