In the summer of 2016, two of my orchestral compositions (‘The Citadel’ and ‘A Mystery’) were recorded for Ablaze records, played by the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Mikel Toms.
‘A Midsummer Night‘ is one of my newest compositions. There are two versions, one for French Horn and Piano and one for Tenor Saxophone and Piano. There are recordings of each version, performed by Emily Joy (French Horn), Brian Barber (Piano) and myself (Tenor Saxophone).
I am honoured that a special oboe version of ‘An Autumn Day‘ was premiered at the London New Wind Festival on 1st October 2022 – the performance was given by oboist Catherine Pluygers and pianist Dr Sasha Valeri Millwood. I am also very grateful that the Alto Saxophone version has been recorded by saxophonist Nick Philips, with piano part performed by Oscar Espinoza.
‘Unleashed and Rewired‘ is inspired by the freedom, opportunities and challenges arising from retirement, arranged here for alto saxophone and virtual backing track. This music was originally written for saxophone quartet.
