‘Baroque Affinity‘ is inspired by the baroque style of composition, but is not intended as an imitation.
I made the following recording/film by recording each part myself on alto saxophone, then edited the sound to achieve the correct transpositions for the soprano sax, tenor sax and baritone sax parts.
In addition, an electronic ‘sampled sound’ recording can be heard below along with a video showing the score.
‘Baroque Affinity’ forms the third movement of my Suite in 4 Movements for Saxophone Quartet.
